Anxiety
My opinion re: ANXIETY. Anxiety should never be a diagnosis. To me anxiety is like being in a room and the room is enclosing around you becoming smaller and smaller. What needs to be decided is what is causing the anxiety. For myself and many other's it is their medical conditions. The symptoms from their medical condition is causing the ANXIETY. Many get anxiety when they have a job interview, school, date and/or a change is taking place in their lives. The waiting game for good/bad news causes anxiety. To me there are many things that cause Anxiety, so it is not a medical condition. ANXIETY is something that is brought on by a positive/negative change or another medical condition. Let's do more testing and get a correct diagnosis when needed do extra research. There are many individuals and yes I was one with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome when symptoms started labeled with ANXIETY.
The Many Challenges of POTS
2011 I have gotten to know more about my medical condition Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. I always told myself Determination + Me=POTS, GOD had different plans in my Journey.
Prior to June 2005 I was healthy, full of energy, addicted to exercise, able to help others and loved working 2-4 jobs. After June 2005: symptoms started while I was at work felt like a jet went through my head. Everyday, every week and every month repeated symptoms with new symptoms attacking my body and patience. I was always told anxiety (another blog will be done with my opinion of anxiety). What did I do after many doctor and er visits went online myself. Interesting 95-98% of my symptoms Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. My appointment was coming up for Mayo Clinic in Minnesota I will discuss it with the Dr. then. May 2006 POTS was confirmed by the Tilt Table Test (TTT). Treatment: Dr. and I discussed in length we decided high salt diet, plenty of water and exercise.
Since my body has been used to all the symptoms I was able to continue to work, but exercise started downhill with no energy. I was still trying to walk fast to keep up with my heart rate and while waiting for an elevator I would slide down the wall and sit on the floor until the door opened.
Since Aug. 2010 a major change in my journey another blog to follow
